The CSG harnesses the power of standards-based Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Voice over IP (VoIP) technology to establish, maintain and terminate calls to/from AMX intercom-enabled Modero Touch Panels, PDAs, cell phones, laptops, IP phones, and instant messaging clients.

The CSG-500 acts as a self-contained VoIP solution. The CSG-544 and CSG-580 can be integrated to an outside PSTN or POTS network.
